Unique Assessments for Unique People

Specializing in Gifted and Twice-Exceptional (2e) Profiles

What Types of Assessments Do I Offer?

Comprehensive Neuropsychiatric Assessments (with Testing)

I provide comprehensive neuropsychiatric assessments for giftedness, twice-exceptionality (2e), ADHD, autism, and learning differences, including dyslexia and dyscalculia. These evaluations integrate developmental history, clinical interviews, standardized testing, and rating scales to clarify a person’s strengths and differences.

Clients may choose to receive a full formal report, which is appropriate for school and workplace accommodations. Full reports summarize the assessment process and findings and include practical, individualized recommendations to inform intervention.

Alternatively, clients may select a memorandum of evaluation. This document lists any diagnoses, but it is intended for diagnostic clarification only and does not include full assessment data or interpretive summaries. It is not accepted for school or workplace accommodations.

Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation (without Testing)

I also offer more streamlined psychiatric evaluations focused on conditions such as depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. These evaluations consist of a 90-minute, comprehensive biopsychosocial interview. There is no standardized testing involved.

Psychiatric evaluations may be scheduled as a one-time consultation or for a second opinion.

Neurodevelopmental differences, including giftedness, 2e, ADHD, learning differences, and autism are not identified through this type of evaluation.

Note: This practice does not offer ongoing medication management to new clients, except in limited circumstances that arise through established professional collaborations.

What Makes My Assessments Different

My comprehensive, whole-person assessments are designed to offer a deeper understanding of your cognitive, emotional, and neurodevelopmental profile. These evaluations draw on my training as a psychiatric nurse practitioner alongside formal training in standardized measures of cognition, allowing me to evaluate how brain-based differences, mental health, and physical factors intersect in daily life.

Depending on your needs, I may also:

Order and interpret targeted lab work, when clinically indicated, to evaluate potential contributors such as thyroid dysfunction, nutritional deficiencies, or metabolic factors that can affect attention, mood, or cognition.

Sunset Stroll

Offer pharmacogenetic testing, such as GeneSight, which examines how an individual may metabolize and respond to certain psychiatric medications. This information can help inform medication decision-making and reduce trial-and-error when medication is being considered.

Who Are Assessments For?

I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling in ways that don’t always have a clear explanation—at school, at work, in relationships, or simply moving through everyday life. Some are overwhelmed by attention or learning challenges, even though they are capable, bright, or performing well in other areas.

Female Friends

Many of my clients describe feeling “a little different” for as long as they can remember. They’ve often adapted, compensated, or masked their way through, but it’s exhausting—and they’re ready to understand why things have felt harder than they should. Some have received past diagnoses that don’t tell the whole story. Others have never been evaluated at all, but sense that something important has been missed.

If you’re seeking clarity, language, or a path forward that actually fits, my work is designed for exactly that.
